Emerald are back from the Swordbrothers Festival. The concert was a very huge success and we would like to thank all our fans, friends and supporters for this fantastic support. We couldn't believe our eyes, you maniacs !!!! Thanks also to Volker for this great Festival.

Finally it's done. Another dream came true: Emerald proudly announce the release of their "Forces of Doom" album on vinyl !!!! It's a self-financed release and distributed through the band itself. The vinyl is limited to 300 copies in black vinyl with wonderful printed innersleeve (lyrics, thankslist, pics etc.). Take a look and order your copy now at our contact address. Price is 15 Euro plus postage. Mailorders and distributors please ask for wholesales prices.

Emerald are preparing a videoclip to the song "Tears Of A Warrior". With the help of Ursula Badertscher and her crew, the shooting was done at the old ruins of Grasburg as well as at the concert in Wohlen on September 11, 2004. At the moment, Ursula Badertscher is working on the material (edit, mix etc.). More informations will follow. A very big THANK YOU for the precious work to Ursula Badertscher. Also many thanks to her crew and all people involved in this project !

The recordings for the new EMERALD album "Forces Of Doom" are finished !!! The band recorded and mixed at the Mohrmann Studios in Bochum, Germany, their 3rd full lenght album. The tracklist will be:

Dear friends, fans and supporters !!
The Headbanger's Open Air was not only a huge success for EMERALD, it was the highlight in the history of EMERALD !!!!!! We had so much support there, so much fun and great time and we met so many old and new friends, it was just amazing !! We would like to thank EVERYONE who supported us at this wonderful and perfect festival !! Special thanks go out to Thomas, the man behind the HOA, for giving us this opportunity and making our dream come true. Also big thanks to Christof Schafer and Adriano Troiano for helping us on and behind the stage. And of course many special thanks to all the kind fans and friends who travelled with us the long way to Hamburg (and also for selling our merchandise, thanks a lot metal ladies !!). You people rule !!! And last but not least thanks from our heart to all the fans in front of the stage that made our concert such a big success and magic event for us !!! You are the Emerald Knights !!!

We also want to write some lines about the Emerald competition we did on the website. First of all many big thanks to all the people who sent us their ideas and propositions. It was very interesting and sometimes very funny. Unfortunatly, not one person guessed the right band. We will record for our next CD the song "On The Wings Of The Night" from the band VIRGIN STEELE and we played the song already live now on the Headbanger's Open Air. It's in our opinion a fantastic metal hymn from one of the best metal bands on earth. They never had the success they should have and it's strange that no one made a tribute to this great band yet. So we will show our respect for David DeFeis & Co. with our version of "On The Wings Of The Night". VIRGIN STEELE were always one of the biggest influences for EMERALD and the flame is still burning !!
As no one guessed the right band at the competition, we decided now to choose a winner by chance from all people that took part at the competition. Our metal fairy choose the following winner from all participants: Spyros Bolakis from Greece. Congratulations from EMERALD !! The winner will receive an e-mail from us in the next days.

Absolutely crushing news today !!!! The year 2003 couldn't start better. EMERALD are confirmed today to play at this year's HEADBANGER'S OPEN AIR in Brande-Hörnerkirchen (at Elmshorn), Germany !!!!!!!! With this, a dream came true for EMERALD !!!!!!! The festival will take place at 11 + 12 July 2003 and the following bands are confirmed so far: Emerald (CH), Trespass (UK), Killer (Belgien), Solitude (Japan), Doomsword (I), Stormwarrior (HH), Blitzkrieg (UK), Skanners (I), Thunderstorm (I), Nightshade (USA), Exiled (USA), Cryonic Temple (SWE), Paragon (D), Master (Rus). WYZARD, SALEM'S WYCH, HEATHEN'S RAGE, MEDIEVAL STEEL, BLACK KNIGHT, MILITIA and others played together in one radio show ?? Impossible ?? NO !!! Yesterday evening, EMERALD guitarist Michael Vaucher was in Basel, Switzerland, again at the studio of Radio X. As we all know by now (as EMERALD were featured there already), at this studio the radio metal show"Metal-X" deducted by the metalmaniac Laurent Giovanoli, is on air every Tuesday evening. And yesterday evening, it was a very special show: The night of rare metal of the eighties with the invited special guest / co-moderator Michael Vaucher from EMERALD. Michael and Laurent presented from their collections the rarest and best of metal from the eighties and played songs like "Knights of Steel" (Heathen's Rage), "Objective: Termination" (Militia), "Son of the Bitch" (Evil), "Betrayer of kings" (Salem's Wych), "Future Knights" (Wyzard), "Warlord's Wrath" (Black Knight), "Kamikaze" (Villain), "Knights of the round table" (Commander), "Warlords" (Medieval Steel), "Run for cover" (Ruffians) or "Armies of the night" (Stormtrooper). And at the end of course a song from the new EMERALD CD "Calling The Knights" ("Emerald Knights") was played.

Finally "Calling The Knights" is out !!!!!!! SHARK RECORDS (a division of CRAZY LIFE MUSIC) released the CD these days officially worldwide. The whole album was remixed and remastered by Detlef Mohrmann and Axel Thubeauville at Mohrmann Studio, Germany. The new coverartwork is done by Ken Kelly

Only fantastic news today !!!
Shark Records will rerelease "Calling The Knights" on February 25, 2002. The rerelease will include two bonus tracks ("I will remember" and "Independence" from the first Emerald CD "Rebels Of Our Time") and a complete new more powerful sound as the material was remixed and remastered in Germany. Last but not least, there will be a new booklet and a new cover artwork by the master of fantasy paintings, Ken Kelly. Check out now this crushing epic masterpiece and watch out for the rerelease. And now, Emerald are happy to announce that they finally found a new drummer as replacement for Stefan Neuhaus. And we can also announce now the date and place of the "Calling the Knights" Release Party. The party will be on July 7, 2001 at the Restaurant zum Weissen Kreuz in Cordast / FR, Switzerland. We received now the statement of Adriano Troiano about his departure:
"I decided to leave EMERALD because I didn't feel being able to come up with enough time and energy needed for the professional direction of this band. I still dig their music and I'm proud of my work with EMERALD. I hope to collaborate in the future in some way or another with them. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the guys for their friendship, for the big amount of experience I got and for all the great times we had. I will continue to create music with my new band "Evil Eye", so stay tuned."

There are some news that we want to make official now: Adriano Troiano (bass) is no longer a member of EMERALD. He already told the band his decision to quit EMERALD before the beginning of the recordings. There was no trouble within the band, he just had not enough time anymore to concentrate 100% on EMERALD. Nevertheless, he helped EMERALD recording the new CD. He recorded the bass tracks for a view songs and wrote also some songs and lyrics for the new album. We will put a goodbye statement of Adriano on this site within the next weeks. Of course, Adriano and the rest of the band are still very good friends and guest appearances on upcoming live gigs are possible. "Adriano, thank you for eveything you did for EMERALD !! We 'll miss you man, eternally hail from all of us, stay healthy, take care and keep the metal flowing !!!!!"
Now we'd like to present the new EMERALD member: The new bass player of EMERALD is Stephan Kaufmann. He lives in Freiburg (10 minutes away from Düdingen) and started playing guitar 6 years ago. One year later, he changed to bass guitar. After playing bass in a Hard Rock/Blues band in Freiburg, he discovered Heavy Metal and joined now to the Emerald Knights. His favourite bands are Blind Guardian, Nightwish, Queen and In Extremo. "Welcome to the band, brother !! We're sure that we'll have a lot of fun and good times together !!" A picture of the new guy is coming very soon in "Band section".
Besides all that, here the latest news from the studio: The mixing and mastering of the new album "Calling the Knights" was just successfully finished at TSO Records Tonstudio Oberland, Tentlingen. The recordings are now ready for the manufacturing, just some details for the booklet are not done yet. The release is still planned for end of June 2001. It's getting closer now...

The gig at Z7 Konzertfabrik (Swiss Metal Attack) was a big success for EMERALD. The band would like to thank everyone who came to Pratteln and supported EMERALD there. It was a fantastic experience for the band and we hope that EMERALD will return to the Z7 in the future. Of course also a big "thank you" to all at Headline Music and to the Z7 crew for this great evening !

The recordings of the new EMERALD album were successfully finished at Steinfels Studios Düdingen (you can see a studio report with pictures under www.power-agency.ch/steinfels-studios/steinfels1.htm). The band recorded 10 songs including a cover of Medieval Steel's hymn "Medieval Steel". Manfred Udry who conducted the recordings did a fantastic job and the band is very satisfied with the results so far. The new album will be named "CALLING THE KNIGHTS". The tracklist will follow soon on this site. At next, the recordings will be mixed and mastered by Eric Cotting at TSO Records Tonstudio Oberland, Tentlingen.

The recordings at TSO Records Tonstudio Oberland were successfully finished (drums, bass, rythm guitars and keyboards). EMERALD started today the recordings at Steinfels Studios, Düdingen, Switzerland (http://www.power-agency.ch/steinfels-studios/steinfels1.htm). Conducted by Manfred Udry (MForce), they will record all vocals, backing vocals, acoustic and lead guitars.

The time has come to raise the flag of metal again !! EMERALD will start the recordings to their second full album on March 2, 2001. The recordings will be done in TSO and Steinfels studios in Switzerland during March and April 2001. Mix and Mastering is planned for April and May 2001. It is planned to record 11 tracks including a covertune of MEDIEVAL STEEL's metalhymn "Medieval Steel". The title of the album and tracklist will follow soon on this page. Nevertheless, here already some songtitles: "Battlefield", "Shadowknight", "Across the Sea", "Victims of Society", "Unreasonable Violence" and the new bandhymn "Emerald Knights".

This fantastic sampler was an enclosure to the lasted issue of the Greek METAL INVADER Magazine. In the show "Passion Rock" on Radio Cigogne (88.2), they played the songs "Independence", "Forever Free" and "Never Fall in Love" from "Rebels of our Time" CD and the CD was voted as the "CD of the week" among new CD's from VIRGIN STEELE, IRON MAIDEN, RHAPSODY, CHILDREN OF BODOM, DORO and many others !!!
